Job Summary:
The Robotics Specialist will lead a group of automation engineers and programmers to support projects and field services activities including programming and documentation for robotics development.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises a group of five to eight automation engineers and programmers.
- Assigns jobs to team members based on expertise and experience.
- Assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, organizes, and schedules an engineering and programming team to create, build, and integrate robotic systems.
- Develops, maintains, and implements a standard approach to programming and program structures.
- Oversees and participates in quality checks before delivery of product.
- Oversees field service on all automation products, offering phone and online support, and onsite troubleshooting and repair.
- Maintains thorough documentation and reports for projects according to company guidelines.
- Provides systems training and support to staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering or Computer Science required; Masters degree preferred.
- At least five years of experience developing robotic applications and working in automation engineering required.
- At least two years of field supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
