Job Summary:
The Multimedia Artist/Animator will create animation, special effects, and other images for video games, movies, television, and commercials.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with a team of animators and artists to brainstorm, develop, and complete projects.
- Creates sketches and models using computer animation or modeling software.
- Creates storyboards to demonstrate animation sequences and illustrate keys scenes in the production.
- Uses computers, film, digital cameras, and other tools to create graphics and animation.
- Produces digital film negatives and proofs.
- Edits animation based on feedback from other animators, designers, and directors.
- Conducts research for upcoming projects to assist with animation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to think creatively and express new ideas.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Extremely proficient with 3D animation software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Fine Arts or related field required.
- Two years of related experience required including human and nonhuman animation.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
