Job Summary:
The Casino Cage Cashier will finalize cash payment to customers, maintain the balance in the cash drawer, and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Calculates totals for customers chips and pays out cash for chips collected.
- Ensures that cash drawer is balanced at all times and makes exchanges with the vault when necessary.
- Verifies identification of customers requesting cash advances.
- Completes transactions accurately throughout shift.
- Keeps and updates an accurate report of the cash and chips received and distributed.
- Operates credit card processing equipment, coin sorting and wrapping machines, and other cashier equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Courteous and professional manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in using a 10-key calculator and other office equipment.
- Ability to count money accurately and quickly.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Six months of experience as a cashier or bank clerk highly preferred.
- State gaming license required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
- Will be required to work various shifts and weekends.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
