SHRM's People Manager Qualification Wins Three Gold Awards
Interactive leadership-training program honored for best website, web training and e-learning
A new virtual learning program designed for people managers has won the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) three top awards.
SHRM and SweetRush launched the People Manager Qualification (PMQ) in August 2020 to help managers build their leadership skills. This month, the program won a 2021 Gold MUSE Creative Award for best website, as well as the 2020 Gold Horizon Interactive Award for best web-training and e-learning program and the Hermes Gold Award for web-based training.
"Preserving the relationship between employee and manager is more critical than ever. We know from SHRM research that 84 percent of U.S. workers say poorly trained people managers create a lot of unnecessary work and stress, and half feel their own performance would improve if their manager received additional training," said SHRM Chief Knowledge Officer Alex Alonso, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP. "SHRM is honored to receive this award in partnership with SweetRush—especially as tremendous changes impact all aspects of the workplace. With this in mind, skilling-up managers can help HR professionals dedicate their time to delivering on culture and strategy and meeting business objectives."
SweetRush is a corporate training and development company that specializes in improving employee performance.
The award coincides with the release of two new episodes of the PMQ centered on diversity, equity and inclusion.
