Luciana Gómez is a marketing consultant specialized in multicultural segments. She works in partnership with several advertising agencies and clients to create and execute relevant marketing strategies. Before establishing her own practice in February 2015, Luciana held various leadership roles at renowned multicultural agencies in the US. As Chief Relationship Officer at Dieste, an Omnicom agency, she built and mentored a team of 40+, and oversaw their client portfolio in virtually all categories, ensuring consistency and effectiveness of several successful communication campaigns.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Luciana started her career in advertising at J.W. Thompson Argentina before moving to Austin in 2002, where she was Group Account Director at LatinWorks (now Third Eye). After 6 productive years at LatinWorks as an integral part of numerous award-winning campaigns, she moved to New York to lead the 2010 Census account as Vice-President, Group Account Director at GlobalHue.
Luciana has been part of the Effie jury three times, participated in the Senior Management Program at Omnicom University (Babson College), completed the Cannes Creative Leadership Program at Berlin School of Management, and has been a speaker in industry events such as DTC, Hispanic Marketing Symposium and National Hispanic Corporate Council. She has also been featured on Forbes, The New York times, AdAge, NBC, Telemundo, CBS, among others.
Luciana has a Bachelor's in advertising from the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales in Buenos Aires. Alongside her marketing career, Luciana is an entrepreneur who created and launched Café Victoria in 2016, a coffee shop designed for the growing area of Victory Park in Dallas. Her background in marketing allowed her to design a brand that is planned to be just the beginning of a much bigger endeavor to increase the coffee offering in town through unique concepts designed for diverse areas. She is currently a freelance writer for CultureMap Dallas, contributing to their hospitality content.
Luciana is an active volunteer, having helped at Ankur Kala, an organization in Kolkata, India, that works towards the rehabilitation and empowerment of the marginalized and destitute women and children in West Bengal, as well as US-based organizations such as I Have a Dream Foundation, Crossroads Community Service, Peace Through Business, and Support Latino Business. Luciana is also a passionate animal rescuer, an amateur tennis player and fan, and an adventurous traveler.
The path to success for Latinas is not an easy one and Luciana knows that. Through hard work and a vision for an elevated role of Latinas in the US, she is trailblazing for other women to follow, whether it is through her marketing efforts to inform inclusive strategies that are commensurate with the reality of Hispanics today, innovative hospitality concepts that can contribute to push a neighborhood forward, a helping hand for those who need it most, or actively mentoring young professionals.
