Tracy Billows is the co-Managing Partner of the Seyfarth Chicago office and past chair of the Chicago office Labor & Employment department, concentrating her practice on representing and counseling employers throughout the country in the entire range of employment law matters. Billows provides extensive advice and strategic guidance to clients on a wide array of Human Resources topics and issues, including policy development and review, auditing the Human Resources functions, leave and absence management, EEO compliance, reductions in force, employee relations, labor relations, performance management, discipline and discharge and various other areas, with an emphasis on instituting best practices and avoiding litigation.

Liz Petersen, SHRM-SCP, is the Manager of Knowledge Operations at SHRM. With over 25 years of HR experience and a SHRM Senior Professional Certification, Petersen brings a wealth of expertise to her role, where she co-manages the advisors and senior advisors who handle the Ask an Advisor service, a key SHRM member benefit. Before joining SHRM, she excelled as an In-house and Outsourced HR Manager for various small and medium-sized organizations and industries.
