Kathryn Brooks, SHRM-SCP

Kathryn has over 17 years of Human Resources experience in both the public and private sector. After earning an MSW from the University of Michigan, she worked first as an EAP and later as an HR department of one for several companies in Silicon Valley. Kathryn then spent twelve years working in the California Judicial Branch before joining SHRM as an Advisor in November 2017.

Rue Dooley, SHRM-SCP

Rue has been an Advisor for SHRM for over 16 years and has decades of HR experience as a practitioner (generalist and specialist) and has consulted for many organizations in different industries. Rue has authored and co-authored numerous articles on a variety of subjects; conducted webcasts and podcasts; created videos; and has been quoted in many different media outlets.

Robert Hite, SHRM-SCP

Robert “Bob” Hite worked as an HR Generalist for more than 30 years before joining SHRM as an Advisor in 2015. His first career was in television advertising and production and he transitioned to the Human Resources field in his home state of Pennsylvania in 1984. In 1990, Bob became the Personnel Director for a non-profit federal government contractor in Washington, DC. Immediately prior to joining SHRM, he served as the HR Director for a multi-state company headquartered in Herndon, VA for 16 years. Bob holds a Bachelor's degree from Penn State University and a Master's degree from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA.
