Job Summary:
The Statistical Assistant will compile and analyze data gathered during statistical research.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Gathers and compiles statistics from a variety of source materials, which may include production and sales records, quality control and test records, time sheets, and survey responses.
- Verifies accuracy of source data.
- Enters data for use in reports and/or analyses.
- Identifies appropriate statistical tests to properly analyze data.
- Applies statistical formulas and software applications to compile and analyze data.
- Gathers and/or compiles graphs, charts, and reports that interpret and describe the conclusions of analyses.
- Prepares print reports and other documentation for distribution or analysis.
- Executes additional administrative duties.
- Performs other related duties.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of the procedures used in gathering and reporting statistics.
- Good understanding of statistics and related mathematical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Accurate data entry and word processing skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with ability to create charts and graphs when given a set of data.
- Basic understanding of statistical software.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree with related coursework required; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience managing numerical data preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
