Job Summary:
The Usher will safely and courteously escort venue patrons to their seats and will assist with crowd control and security.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collects and verifies tickets from event attendees.
- Greets patrons and assists them in finding their seats.
- Assists guests with locating exits and amenities such as restrooms and concession areas.
- Assists guests with limited mobility or other special needs to and from their seats.
- Ensures that aisles, walkways, and designated seating areas are clear, clean, and safe.
- Calmly assists with disputes regarding tickets and seats.
- Notifies supervisor of any problems with facilities, supplies, and venue.
- Assists guests with complaints or concerns; escalates concerns to supervisor when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to resolve minor disagreements.
- Ability to learn venue layout and operating guidelines.
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must successfully complete provided on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
