The WorkplaceTech Accelerator delivers to its cohort participants valuable business development exposure, deeper insights into the HR industry, and thorough expert guidance to refine their product solution and strategy.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — SHRM Labs, a subsidiary of SHRM, proudly announces the newest cohort of its WorkplaceTech Accelerator (WTA) program. Since its inception in 2022, the accelerator has been instrumental in helping workplace technology startups scale and grow, equipping them with the resources, mentorship, and market exposure needed to drive innovation in the future of work.
“I am honored to welcome our latest cohort to the SHRM Labs’ WorkplaceTech Accelerator,” said Andy Biladeau, Chief Transformation Officer at SHRM. “This year’s global search brought together an innovative group of startups addressing some of the most pressing challenges in HR today. We are excited to support the finalists on their journey as they develop innovative solutions that will shape the future of work.”
The 2025 program participants include:
TransCrypts: Headquartered in California, TransCrypts automates employment and income verification processes using blockchain technology, enhancing data privacy and efficiency for businesses and individuals.
Bites Learning: Headquartered in Israel, Bites is a social media-inspired platform designed to streamline training and knowledge-sharing for frontline employees by creating, distributing, and managing engaging, bite-sized content directly through familiar messaging channels.
Refresh: Headquartered in New York, Refresh consolidates every benefit, resource, and communication tools into a fully white-labeled SuperApp. The platform simplifies and enhances the employee experience by segmenting tools based on population or need, while automating administrative tasks for seamless delivery.
The WorkplaceTech Accelerator, through a mix of in-person and virtual events, delivers to its cohort participants valuable business development exposure, deeper insights into the HR industry, and thorough expert guidance to refine their product solution and strategy. Upon completion of the program, accelerator participants join the esteemed SHRM Labs alumni network, granting them continued access to SHRM’s extensive community and resources.
As a cohort member, each startup benefits from a curated advisory council tailored to its unique needs, as well as connections to potential users for testing and feedback. In addition to mentorship and strategic guidance, each participant receives a $200,000 equity investment from SHRM, with opportunities for additional funding contingent on key milestones.
A key highlight of the 2025 WorkplaceTech Accelerator will be the cohort’s live Demo Day, taking place at the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo in San Diego, CA June 29 – July 2. This premier event will provide participants with a platform to showcase their innovative solutions to HR leaders, investors, and industry influencers from around the world.
