Olesea Azevedo serves as Chief Administration Officer for AdventHealth. With over 93,000 team members in more than 50 hospitals and 73 medical facilities across nine states, AdventHealth provides communities with a whole-person care experience.
Since joining AdventHealth in 2016, Azevedo has built and strengthened the People and Culture team with an integrated shared services model. Azevedo is a founding member and co-sponsor of AdventHealth’s Leadership Institute, which is responsible for identifying, nurturing and developing leaders. In partnership with the CEO, Azevedo established DEI councils across the system to mature organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through innovative design and amplifying team member voices, Azevedo has led the organization’s bold Team Member Promise aspiration, working to develop a unique team member experience and a culture of personal and professional well-being.
In 2023, Azevedo’s role was expanded to include leadership of People and Culture, Corporate Services, Sustainability, Brand, Marketing, and Consumer Experience. This opportunity strengthens the organization's focus on people — both team members and consumers.
Azevedo is actively involved with various boards and organizations, including Andrews University, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and Hearts in Unison. Azevedo has been recognized by multiple organizations, receiving awards including Front of the Front Lines Lifetime Achievement Award from HRO Today (2023), Top 100 HR Professionals from OnCon Conference (2022), Talent Acquisition Team of the Year (2021), and Elite Talent Acquisition Organization from Lean Human Capital (2020).
