Jeff is the Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Coaching Officer at CoachSource where he leads people and strategy for the company and develops and engages over 1,100 external coaches connecting them to executive coaching engagements in corporations around the world. He is an executive coach, professional speaker, coaching supervisor, and author on the neuroscience of leadership and human interaction in the workplace.
He has 26 years of professional experience in human resources and executive coaching, Jeff created and led the Executive Coaching Practice at Humana, Inc. He led human resources at manufacturing companies, including Commonwealth Aluminum, Commonwealth Industries, and CLARCOR Air Filtration Products.
Jeff was the executive director at two not-for-profit organizations, including The Community Health Trust operating homeless shelters for people with HIV/AIDS, and The Citizens Committee on Education increasing high school graduation rates and college enrollments.
Jeff is a co-author of Rethinking Human Resources and Humans@Work with other HR and coaching thought leaders. Amazon.com sales of both books benefit The SHRM Foundation. He is also a co-author of Coaching Wisdom: Voices of the Gay Coaches Alliance.
He has been an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for over 25 years and serves on the SHRM Foundation Board of Directors. Jeff served as the Chair of the Kentucky SHRM State Council and President of Louisville SHRM. He was the inaugural recipient of The Lyle Hanna HR Volunteer Spirit Award, was named one of the top Twenty People to Know in Human Resources by Business First of Louisville, and is the 2021 recipient of the Thomas J. Leonard Coach Humanitarian Award.
Jeff earned a BA in Psychology from Georgetown College and an MBA from Georgia State University. He is a Certified Virtual Presenter through eSpeakers and is a professional member of the National Speakers Association (NSA). He is a graduate of The Cavett Institute at NSA and The Speakers Academy at the NSA Kentucky Chapter. He is a past-president of the NSA Kentucky Chapter Board of Directors.
Jeff is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. He is a Results Professional Certified Coach through The NeuroLeadership Group, and he graduated with distinction with a Certificate in the Foundations of Neuroleadership from The Neuroleadership Institute.
He is a credentialed HR professional as a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP).
Jeff volunteers as a board member at The Society for Human Resource Management Foundation and the board of the Gay Coaches Alliance. Jeff is a former board member at Metro United Way, The International Coach Federation Ohio Valley Charter Chapter, Spalding University’s School of Business Advisory Board, and Stand Beside Them Inc. where he volunteers to coach military veterans. Jeff lives in Venice, Florida with his husband, Bob, and their son, Adam. Jeff enjoys sunrise yoga on the beach, going out for sushi, and foodie experiences with friends at great restaurants.
