David Twitchell, SHRM-SCP, CCP, CBP, has spent more than 35 years in the field of Human Resources with a concentration in the health care industry. As an HR Generalist, his focus has been specialized in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Employment, Employee and Labor Relations. He is a longtime SHRM volunteer, having served in both state and national roles, and he enjoys facilitating training for up and coming HR practitioners. He has been a longtime SHRM Instructor for the Certification Preparation course through Vermont Technical College and has served as an adjunct faculty member for the Community College of Vermont, Johnson State College, and Southern NH University as an Instructor on the Basics of Human Resource Management.
He has worked in tertiary/academic health care institutions, community hospitals, and now in the long-term care/social services industry, where compensation issues are tested daily. His exposure to for-profit versus nonprofit organizations, as well as to union-free and unionized organizations, has increased his awareness of the myriad of dealings in the arena of compensation.
David is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional who holds certification in compensation and benefits through WorldatWork and is further certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through HRCI. He possesses two undergraduate degrees through the University of New Hampshire and a graduate degree in human service administration through Southern New Hampshire University.
