According to John Holland’s theory of career choice, people identify with one or more of the following six workplace personality types: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional. Most people have a combination of these personality types—like social-enterprising or conventional-realistic. According to Holland, people who are the most successful and fulfilled in their careers tend to work in an environment compatible with their workplace personality type.
