Purpose/Objective

Eligibility
Nonexempt, full-time employees who are working under an alternative workweek arrangement.
Procedures
Employees who are currently on an alternative workweek schedule should anticipate remaining on that schedule as long as the schedule is in effect. Employees working on an alternative workweek schedule are required to comply with the company's timekeeping policies and procedures.
If, for any reason, employees are unable to work an assigned alternative workweek schedule, they should immediately follow their departments' rules for notification of absences. As detailed in the company's Disability Accommodation Policy, the company will provide reasonable accommodations for known disabilities and will engage with requesting employees in an interactive process.

5/40 workweek (employees are scheduled to work five days, eight hours each day)
Nonexempt employees under this schedule will generally be scheduled to work five days per workweek and eight hours per workday. As detailed in the company's [Overtime Pay] Policy, employees under this schedule will be eligible for overtime after working eight hours in a workday or 40 hours in a workweek.
4/10 workweek (employees are scheduled to work four days, 10 hours each day and are scheduled for three days off each workweek)
Nonexempt employees under this schedule will generally be scheduled to work four days per workweek and 10 hours per workday. As detailed in the company's [Overtime Pay] Policy, employees under this schedule will be eligible for overtime after working 10 hours in a workday or 40 hours in a workweek.
Compressed workweek (employees are scheduled to work 80 hours in nine workdays)
*This schedule requires the workweek to start and end in the middle of the 8 hour day to avoid overtime
Nonexempt employees under this schedule will generally be scheduled to work five days in a row the first week: four days of nine hours per workday and on the fifth day the employee starts an eight hour shift, but the workweek will end in the middle of this shift. The first four hours of this 5th day count toward workweek #1 (for a total of 40 hours in the workweek), and the last 4 hours of this shift will actually be counted toward workweek #2. The employee is then scheduled for four nine hour days in workweek #2 (for a total of 40 hours in the second workweek as well). This allows for a full day off every other calendar week. As detailed in the company's [Overtime Pay] Policy, employees under this schedule will be eligible for overtime after working the scheduled hours in a workday or 40 hours in a workweek.
