Job Summary:
The Supervisor of Cost Engineering will conduct and oversee cost analysis activities, directing and assisting with estimates of initial and ongoing cost of products and projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducts and/or reviews cost analysis by assessing material, labor, and overhead costs incurred in the production or assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
- Ensures that operating costs do not exceed the proposed budget.
- Evaluates cost effectiveness of products and projects.
- Coordinates with sales team to prepare estimates and bids for clients.
- Assesses a projects cost effectiveness and profitability.
- Develops and maintains records and documentation of production costs, performance against established standards, and other related metrics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Five years of related experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
