Job Summary:
The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Engineer will track and analyze search activity on websites to maximize response from search results.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Continually monitors and adapts website content to improve search engine results and search rankings.
- Collaborates with web designers to improve site functionality and content with particular attention to SEO efforts and indexing.
- Analyzes keywords to maximize relevant website traffic.
- Monitors specific SEO efforts; gathers and analyzes data and reports results to team.
- Maintains knowledge of developments and best practices in SEO.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of website analytics tools, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
- Extensive knowledge of marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Web Design, Web Development, or related field required.
- At least two years of experience in website maintenance and development highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
