I, the undersigned (“I”, “me”, “my” or “myself”), hereby give permission to Society for Human Resource Management and its agents, contractors, licensees, service providers and assigns (collectively, “SHRM”) to include me and my contributions in a marketing and promotional campaign where SHRM will use statements, comments and quotes from customers or other third parties to promote SHRM, including its products and services (the “Campaign”).

I hereby grant SHRM a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferrable license to use, copy, modify (including creating derivative works), sell and otherwise exploit my statement, comment or opinion (the “Comment”) on SHRM’s or its affiliates’ social media posts in the Campaign (collectively, the “Use Rights”) in any and all media and for any purpose, whether related to the Campaign, now known or hereafter developed, including any SHRM website(s), subdomains, and applications, and other forms of media. I acknowledge and agree that SHRM is the sole owner of all rights, title, and interest in and to the Campaign (including all associated intellectual property rights).

I further grant SHRM the right to reproduce, publish, display, distribute and otherwise use my name, image, likeness, job title and biographical information contained in the Comment as posted in the Campaign (collectively, the “Identity”, and together with the Comment, “My Contributions”) in any advertising, publicity, promotion, or marketing for the Campaign and for SHRM, including its products and services, generally, anywhere in the world and on any medium or channel without obtaining additional written consent, including any right to inspect, approve or otherwise review, of me or any third party. SHRM may use any and all of My Contributions in connection with the Campaign. For purposes of this Release, all Use Rights granted to SHRM apply to the My Contributions. By way of clarification, SHRM may use my name, voice and likeness, My Contributions as contained in the Campaign in any advertising, publicity, promotion, or marketing for the Campaign and for SHRM, including its products and services, generally, anywhere in the world and on any medium or channel without obtaining additional written consent, including any right to inspect, approve or otherwise review, of me or any third party

I agree that the opportunity to participate in the Campaign is sufficient consideration for the rights granted to SHRM in this Release. I shall not receive, or be entitled to receive, payment for My Contributions or the Use Rights, and I shall receive no residual or any other type of payment in connection with SHRM's exercising the Use Rights or any other rights granted under this Release. 

Nothing contained herein shall be construed to obligate SHRM to exercise any of the rights granted to SHRM, or to make, sell, license, distribute or otherwise exploit the Campaign or My Contributions.  I agree that SHRM may attribute My Contributions, including the Comment (in my words or in different words with substantially the same meaning) to me as expressions of my opinion, findings, personal experience and beliefs relating to SHRM or any other subject matter referenced therein.  I agree to hold SHRM harmless with respect to the rights granted to SHRM under this Release, and I represent that SHRM is able to use the My Contributions without payment to, or violating the rights of, any third party.

To the extent not precluded by applicable law, I hereby release and discharge SHRM from all liability arising out of or in connection with the making, producing, reproducing, processing, exhibiting, distributing, publishing, transmitting by any means, or otherwise using the Campaign. 

 I waive any right to inspect or approve any use of My Contribution or any work product in which My Contributions may be used.  I knowingly, voluntarily, and irrevocably waive all rights of attribution and integrity and any other similar rights in or to the Identity or the Comment (collectively, “Moral Rights”).  To the extent this waiver is not permitted by applicable law, I agree not to enforce such Moral Rights against SHRM or any individuals or entities acting on behalf of SHRM or permitted to receive copies of the Identity or the Comment under this Release.

This Release sets forth the entire agreement between me and SHRM with respect to my participation in the Campaign and use of My Contributions, including the Use Rights. This Release may not be altered or amended except in writing signed by both parties. This Release will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  In signing this Release, I acknowledge and represent that (i) I have read the Release and understand it, (ii) no statements or inducements, apart from an offer of employment or my continuing employment and the Release, have been made, (iii) I am at least 18 years old and fully competent, and (iv) I execute this Release freely, voluntarily, and on my own behalf for full, adequate, and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by same.
