Approximately one-half (52%) of organizations offer paid time off (PTO) plans to their full-time employees, whereas 41% offer paid vacation plans and 34% offer paid sick leave plans. PTO plans combine vacation, sick and personal time under one umbrella. Organizations may move toward this type of paid leave plan to allow employees the flexibility to manage their time away from the office.
