SHRM-Supported House Bill to Expand Paid Leave and Flexibility for All Employees

SHRM President and CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., testified before the House Education and the Workforce Committee’s Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions on July 24, on the benefits of the Workflex in the 21st Century Act for the U.S. workforce. 


The Workflex in the 21st Century Act (H.R. 4219), introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives, is based on concepts developed by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The bill would provide a first-of-its-kind combination of guaranteed paid leave and increased options for flexible work arrangements.
