Demand for mental health services is stronger than ever, with nearly 6 in 10 Americans seeking or wanting to seek mental health services either for themselves or for a loved one. Too often, employees struggle to gain access to the high-quality care they need.

In this program, Kathy Mahieu of Aetna and Dr. Christopher Dennis of Landmark Health and Teladoc Health will shine a spotlight on the important role the workplace plays in addressing mental wellbeing as well as highlight the vital role virtual care plays in promoting better outcomes.

Learn about our speaker About the Presenters: Kathleen Mahieu is responsible for strategy and innovation at Aetna Behavioral Health. In her role, she develops initiatives and partnerships that advance Aetna's strategy and drive innovation and growth. Mahieu also works to design, refine and implement creative solutions that improve the member experience, expand access to care, broaden integrated medical/behavioral solutions, and improve health outcomes. She also serves on Aetna’s Federal Mental Health Parity Task Force. As part of the cross-functional leadership team, she helps interpret parity compliance rules and supports Aetna to assess and ensure compliance with state and federal parity regulations. 

Christopher Dennis, M.D., is the chief behavioral health officer of Landmark and a practicing psychiatrist and advisor to Teladoc Health. He previously served as chief medical officer of ValueOptions’ commercial division. Dennis has served as an attending psychiatrist in the division of emergency psychiatry at the NSLIJ Health System in New York until 2014, and for over 15 years has served as a psychiatric consultant to the long-term care industry. He is an associate professor at St. George’s University. Additionally, he served on the NYCMS Medical Economics Committee, NCQA Standards Committee and in 2013 chaired NCQA’s Managed Behavioral Healthcare Advisory Committee. 
He is board certified in psychiatry and is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
