Recently, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 was signed into law and includes additional funding for businesses, as well as tax credits and extended paid sick leave provisions for employees.

The bill extends the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) through March 31, 2021, and allows smaller and harder-hit businesses that qualify to draw a second loan for a maximum amount of $2 million.

Additionally, the legislation extends the availability of refundable payroll tax credits for paid sick and family leave initially enacted in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and enhances the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Employee Retention Tax Credits available to employers.

With this new legislation being implemented quickly, what can your organization do today to ensure your workplace remains compliant?

In this program, AJ Griffin, Paycom’s director of government and community affairs, will discuss:
  • What’s included in the 2021 Consolidated Appropriations Act and how it may impact your business;
  • Updates to the FFCRA and CARES Act; and
  • Developments affecting paid sick and paid family leave programs.
