Health Care Reform

   4/9/2010

With the ink now dry on the new health care reform law, HR professionals are turning their attention to implementing the law’s provisions.  On Wednesday, April 7, SHRM provided a comprehensive webcast entitled, Health Care Reform - Leading Your Organization's Response.

This 90-minute program featured Frank McArdle, Principal and Manager of Hewitt Associates’ Washington, D.C. office, and Mike Aitken, Director of SHRM Government Affairs.  More than 2,000 HR professionals tuned into the presentation for an in-depth look at the law’s provisions and when those provisions become effective.

In addition, the webcast included a list of issues that HR professionals need to turn their attention to in the coming months involving plan design provisions, administrative decisions, and planned communications strategy.  The webcast concluded with 20 minutes of Q&A from the audience.
