Merit Award designation is based on chapter size, with smaller chapters (those with fewer than 20 members) completing at least 29 but fewer than 38 activities for a Merit Award and larger chapters (those with 21 or more members) completing at least 38 but fewer than 49 activities for a Merit Award.
