SHRM’s Georgia Members Visit Capitol Hill
10/2/2009

On Wednesday, September 23, SHRM’s Georgia State Council President Eunice Glover led a delegation of seven other SHRM members for a Day Inside the Beltway, visiting the offices of the state’s two U.S. Senators and four U.S. Representatives on Capitol Hill.

During the visits, members of the group shared their views on Workplace Flexibility and paid leave, and voiced their strong support in favor of the New Employee Verification Act (NEVA).

The effectiveness of SHRM’s advocacy efforts are dependent upon the active involvement of our members across the globe.  Visiting the nation’s capital is one of the best ways to advance the HR profession – and protect your interests.
