During the month of May, members from SHRM's York (Pennsylvania) Chapterand the Dulles (Virginia) Chapterparticipated in Day Inside the Beltway events in Washington, DC.
SHRM members participated in a full-day of outreach efforts that began with a public policy briefing at SHRM headquarters on pending federal issues, followed by lunch and visits with their U.S. Senators and Representatives. These Day Inside the Beltwayevents complement SHRM's member advocacy efforts by providing face-to-face interaction with legislators and their staffs on such issues as immigration reform and paid leave legislation pending before Congress.
