SHRM has added a special event to kick-off this year’s Annual Conference in San Diego. A pre-conference program titled, Military Veterans: Transitioning Skills to the New Economy, will be held at the San Diego Convention Center on June 26 - 27, prior to the start of the 2010 conference. 
This program will enable HR professionals to help military personnel overcome the challenges that can accompany the transition from the military to the civilian workforce. The event is open to military personnel, HR professionals, and key federal government offices, and is offered as an added value for those already registered for the 2010 SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition.
In addition to the military employment event, SHRM is offering volunteer opportunities to join the USO at Operation: Support Our Troops to create care packages at Miramar military base. We hope to see you there!
