Health Care Reform Implementation Begins
5/14/2010

As HR professionals nationwide analyze the scope and breadth of the recently-enacted health care reform law, the focus now turns to how the new law is to be implemented.

In an effort to provide HR practitioners with the latest assessment of how the reform law will impact the workplace, SHRM is offering a new webcast on Thursday, May 27, focused on preparing for the first wave of upcoming health care reform changes.

The webcast, entitled “Health Care Reform: Design, Administer, Communicate,” will be presented by Anne Crumlish, senior consultant and actuary in the Health Management Practice of Hewitt Associates. Crumlish will take a detailed look at specific actions HR professionals should take in the areas of plan design and administration; the financial aspects of complying with the new law; and creating clear, correct and timely communication to employees.

This webcast, which has 1.5 PHR/SPHR/GPHR recertification credits by the HR Certification Institute, is designed to help human resource professionals take proactive steps toward analyzing, implementing and communicating changes in health care benefits occasioned by the new health care reform law. To register for this webcast, click HERE.

ADDITIONAL ARCHIVED TOOLS:

Since the health care law was signed by President Obama on March 23, SHRM has provided:
