Mike Aitken, SHRM’s Director of Government Affairs, and Paul Salvatore — a partner at the law firm Proskauer Rose LLP — will discuss Congressional initiatives such as the Employee Free Choice Act, new regulatory labor-management proposals from the Obama administration, and a more employee-focused National Labor Relations Board. Aitken will discuss how you as an HR professional can impact the congressional landscape while Mr. Salvatore will explain the current rise in collective bargaining activity in the workplace, the legal and practical requirements of these developments, and how you and your organization can prepare yourselves to strategically respond to what lies ahead through an interactive case study activity.
