SHRM Member Attends White House Health Care Forum
Continuing to build the case for health care reform this year, the Obama Administration held its fourth White House Regional Forum on Health Care Reform on March 31 at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina.  SHRM and the HR profession were represented at the Forum by North Carolina SHRM State Council Director Christine Vion-Gillespie, SPHR, Employee Relations and Compliance Manager at SAS Institute, Inc.  [ More ]

SHRM Weighs in on Wellness Week and Retiree Health Care

SHRM Files Amicus Brief on Discrimination
On Wednesday, March 25, SHRM filed an amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case of Ricci v. DeStefano. In the case, the City of New Haven declined to certify promotional exam results for fire department captains and lieutenants because too few racial minorities would be promoted.  [ More ]

SHRM Supports Employer Representation by Non-Attorneys in Unemployment Compensation Hearings in Illinois Court Case
