SHRM’s 2011 Employment Law and Legislative Conference, scheduled for March 14 - 16 at the Hyatt Regency-Capitol Hill, is the place to be to learn, discuss, network and connect with top U.S. workplace experts.
It’s also an opportunity to visit your elected officials, hear from key government leaders, and enjoy a unique and private reception at the Library of Congress—one of Washington’s most beautiful landmarks.
This Just In: Valerie B. Jarrett, Senior Advisor & Chair of the White House Council on Women and Girls, has accepted SHRM's invitation to present a keynote address at the conference.
Ms. Jarrett, who also serves as a key liaison for the President with the business community, is expected to highlight the administration’s 2011 domestic policy agenda, including efforts on the economy, employment, health care, and workplace flexibility.
In addition, we have confirmed that two U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) commissioners, Chai Feldblum and Victoria Lipnic, will address the conference. They’ll outline the EEOC’s issue priorities for 2011, including the agency’s highly-anticipated implementing regulations for the ADA Amendments Act.
