Welcome to the Legislative Leaders' Resource Page. Here, state council and chapter legislative volunteers can access a range of policy tools to help them in organizing advocacy efforts in their respective states.
Resources available to SHRM state councils include issuing advocacy alerts and posting letters on state-specific matters through HR Voice, developing sample testimony to be presented on behalf of the state council before state legislative committees, and the development of advocacy strategies to assist state councils and local chapters in organizing grassroots efforts to support/oppose legislative or regulatory actions in their state.

In addition, the SHRM Speakers Bureau provides state councils and chapters with the opportunity to request a speaker from SHRM's Government Affairs Department to provide a federal, state, or member advocacy update at a local event for SHRM members.
